what is the best way to join joists together
the last 2 feet of the joists are rotten due to a failed concrete floor
I have dug out the damp and now intend to put in joists, the old joists on adjoining walls are rotten
Are the new joists your putting in going full span the same as exsisting one's, if they are make sure you support the ends on the brick work or whatever the exsisting one's are sat on then screw the new to the exsisting. ps it's best to stable some DPC on the ends of new joists stop them rotting later on.
