ROTTEN WINDOWS!!!

My windows are rotten on the outside. The wood is nearly crumbling in some places. Also the putty that holds the windows in place is gone is some places.

I am planning to replace them with double-glazing, BUT cannot afford it yet.

SO in the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to pro-long the life of the windows for atleast another year....

e.g. Strengthen the wood....etc.........

Go to one of the diy sheds and buy some epoxy resin filler to fill in the decayed sections.
Not a permanent job but you should get another couple of years out of the frames.
