I am having a electric integrated cooker installed.

There is currently (what I beleive is) 2.5mm2 cable in trunking along the wall behind where I want the cooker installed.

Is this a problem because of the heat of the cooker etc.

The wall is bare brickwork and the floor is concrete so I believe my options a fairly limited if I had to move it.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is not generally a problem, provided there is adequate depth (so the oven and cable aren't touching).

I can't swear for all units, but ours for example draws cool air through chambers on the side to keep the outsides cool. After all there's likely to be perishable food in the next cupboard, so an integrated oven can't afford to get hot on the outside. So I would guess it was ok, but it would be as well to check the installation instructions.
