Rover 25 heater

The above car's heater has stopping working, its only blowing cold air. The fan speed selector switch is working as it does change the speed, but only cold air. Any ideas please?

Check your water levels first. Cooling system may also need bleeding if very low on water.
Next check to see if the pipes that go through to the dashboard (from engine bay)are both getting hot

Water level is ok, but pipes are not getting hot

Possibly a blocked heater matrix then, or duff thermostat.

Take the 2 pipes off the heater matrix and run a hose through one of the sockets to the matrix, it should flow freely from the other socket.

If thats ok, then probably the thermostat needs changing
