Rover 45 TD Power steering pump leak

Is the pump easy to remove to put a new seal in?

Has a slight leak for a while and seems to be the area of the pump.

Would it be easier for you to fit a pump from a breaker, or ebay?
Much less hassle......do check the pipe from the reservoir though, they do tend to weep from there.

I pressure washed around the power steering to make it easier to see.

I see what you mean about a replacement pump being easier.

As yet haven't seen any drips - strange!

having built the pumps from factory ( read further development etc)

The leak is from the rear seal in the ally cover
there is a coupling on the rear that drives the water pump the does not part company with the shaft without destroying it.
then you need to get hold of a seal
