RSJ end bearing and padstones

The 152mm beam is going to sit on a 100mm wall. (parallel not perpendicular)

This will leave a 52mm overhang (or 26mm on each side). Will building regs require me to build up the wall from the foundations to give the beam the full support or is this ok?

Nope.. if the padstone is sufficient size it should spread the load out fine.. will just look odd is all..
