Is there anyone on the forum that’s used an electric sander
To rub down walls after wallpaper stripping to prepare for
The new wallpaper covering that’s going on?
I used to be a painter / decorator many moons ago and just
Used to use sandpaper in my hand.
I have a staircase to do for someone in an old terraced house
And the walls could be a bit perhaps on the roughish side.
I don`t think it will warrant a lining paper though.
It`s if an electric sander is practical in these situations.

Thanks in advance for replies,

P.S.

If so,what model / make do members recommend.

I'm a big fan of 3 inch belt sanders.

He`s a Joe ;) Get a cheap DIY sander - the flat bed ones that the glasspaper clips onto the ends ;)

An orbital sander is the thing to go for.
A lot of decorators are using the Mirka Ceros but it is expensive. However, virtually dust-free sanding (when it is attached to a hoover obviously !) makes what was once a total chore into something close to a pleasure.
Doing a HSL means dust everywhere unless you try to go dust-free.....

Failing that a cheaper orbital sander will still make light of the job.
