Can anyone tell me the regulation for what distance a plug socket should be from a sink to comply with whatever norms are in place?

Many thanks.

There aren't any apart from a recommended 300mm. form edge of sink.

Common sense is a much better guide.

As above, there is a guidance distance of 300mm from sink and drainer. But the wiring regulations do mention external influences, so the ability of any accessories to withstand any potential water hazard would be recommended and also consideration should be taken to avoid live appliances becoming submerge in the sink.
