I live in a house with concrete floors and wondered if it was possible to run the cable for my sockets in the floor via some form of conduit to aid rewiring if neccessary?

Does it need to be steel as it needs to be flexible? Someone has suggested using plastic Kopex?

Hello Scooby,

Metal conduit will provide the 'mechanical protection' that you need.

Thanks guys, any suggestions for flexible conduit? And, can i run it ANYWHERE in the floor or are the certain regs I need to adhere to like depth etc??

Steel conduit would be ideal for this.

There are no specific rules as to where it should be run, just as long as it is not likely to be damaged.

It is generally accepted that 50mm deep will be sufficient to prevent damage.
