Running electrical cable under patio slabs

Good evening,
I have booked a brick worker to come and extend my patio. Whilst he is doing this work, I suddenly thought, this would be a good time to get him to take up some of my existing slabs and put something underneath to help run wires through, whilst he has the cement mixer there.

At the moment, as in my picture below, I have a set of mains operated Ikea out door lights hanging on my fence, but the outdoor plug socket is on the wrong side. Can anyone recommend me a suitable conduit that I could buy and ask my man to put under these slabs? I may well put some other sort of garden lights in so I thought this would be the perfect time to put something under the slabs.

Also, just thinking to the future, I had looked into the possibility of wiring up the shed. If this were to happen, I would need a steel armoured cable and could run this under another set of slabs (as this cable can't join to my existing outdoor socket). Is there anything that would be suitable to place under the slabs to allow this type of cable to be fished through in the future too? I am lucky to have the gravel stones either side as it will allow any cable to be pulled through without the need to remove earth.

If you are feeling brave, I'd post this in the electrical forum.

I'm not sure plastic water pipe is suitable, but I'm not an expert.

Yes, use simple water pipe or anything about 25mm internal diameter

25 mm is too small for decent SWA cable. Go for 40mm to make it easier to pull a cable through. As you are laying the pipe feed a length of strong nylon cord through it, then you can tie your cable to this at a future date and simply pull it through. If you plan to pull more than one cable simply attach another cord to the first cable as you pull it through.
