Running pipes from radiaters into new extention

Going from upstairs in existing house to upstairs in extention and then downstairs in extention ..will the flow and return pipes work ok vertically?..ive got a new potterton performa 30 he, theres no tank or cistern in loft..thanks

i just cant get my head round how the return pipe makes it way across and back upstairs ,surely systems work better if you go downstairs to downstairs and up to up??:chippy by trade

You are probably right BUT the pumps are usually strong enough to overcome any resistance in its path.
