Hi all my shower wouldn’t get hot so I decided to investigate,I found lots of rust in both filters and some large pieces of metal in the cold side of the mixer filter also the tiny spring on the cold water inlet wasn’t visible,this will be the 3rd time in 12 years I’ve replaced it And was surprised by the amount of rust in it.

Have you got an open vented heating system......two tanks in the loft etc?
Worth cleaning them out with a wet vac if you have.
