Hi all

I recently bought the twin set of Ryobi cordless drills from B and Q. This set here:

http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.j...refview=search&ts=1288950966332&isSearch=true

I was under the impression that the one on the right (CHI-1442P) is a basic hammer drill, but now that I have it I've noticed the manual says it is a "Cordless Impact Drill Driver".

So can anyone clarify exactly what it is and whether it is an impact or not?

Sorry if it is a dumb question - I'm still learning!!!

Cheers

Cheers mate....

Strange how a DIY prat like me has got it right when Ryobi themselves have got it wrong (calling it an impact driver). Still, at least I've bought what I hoped I'd bought!

Just bought the same kit as a spare/backup. Take your time and cycle the batteries a few times to build up the maximum charge/endurance.

Yeah - aside from the long charge time being annoying, I think it is irritating that the LED on the charger base does not go out or change colour when the battery is fully charged.

A good set though otherwise, at a great price.

BTW, does you drill say Impact driver as well? Did you expect to get an Impact driver?
