S Flange for Shower Pump

Hi. I'm an apprentice plumber, and have been asked to fit a shower pump for someone I know...

It seems simple enough, however, i was just wondering where do i take the hot feed for the rest of the house if i fit an s flange... Is it where the black arrow is on this diagram?

Another question is if i come off the flange in 22mm pipe, and the connections on the pump are 15mm, where's the best place to reduce down (what length of 22mm/15mm is best?)

where ever you like.
if the pumps only a 15mm feed drop it to 15mm where it exits the flange.

or just use a 15mm flange.

Ok

But on some instructions I've been reading, it says "Hot and Cold supplies not more than 2 meters in 15"

So does this mean the cold feed (from the tank in the loft) should be in 22 and reduce down, or can i feed it with 15??

where is the cws directly above the cylinder or further over in the loft ?

Not sure as i havent been to the job yet.

What would be the difference??

I'm guessing if it's futher over use 22mm??

salamander state that 2m on 15mm.
but if the cws is direct above cylinder in loft another ft ain't a problem.

fitted many of the ct 50/75's like that and been ok.

but if the cws is another 2m over in the loft etc then you can run in 22mm and change to 15mm down the airing cupboard wall etc.
many ways to do it.

Ok so basically, if i run both supplies (hot and cold) in 22mm to about 2m away from the pump I'll be safe

where you putting the pump to have 2m on the hot pipe ?

Bottom of the cylinder - So on the hot I'll only have a tiny bit of 15 (reducing at the bottom of the wall probably)

most pumps come with flexi pipes just run 22mm copper and adapt at the point the flexi reachs
