Safe to run heating with water turned off?

With the cooler weather coming, and the possibility of leaving the house empty whilst on holiday, I'm wondering if its ok to turn off the water stop tap, but leave the heating ( vented fully pumped system with header tank ) on low. Grateful for any advice.
 
Thanks for that , I usually do leave heating on if the place is empty in the winter, but, wasn't entirely sure that it was ok to leave the water off ( cutting off the header tank supply.) Thanks for the info.
