Hi I have an existing sales rt500 rf and wish to replace with the hive system wiring seems a straight forward swap but can I assume the second set of live neutral and earth cables connected on the existing receiver are boiler power and should be reconnected as is

I would say yes, as those wires are in the same cable as the boiler control wires, they presumably go to the boiler.

Whatever they are, if the system works as is, then the wiring will have to be replicated.


Have you the single channel Hive?

You are swapping like for like, so:

Black wire in Salus NO goes to Hive Single Channel NO (terminal 3)

Grey wire in Salus COM goes to Hive Single Channel COMMON (terminal 1)

Both brown wires in Salus L go to Hive Single Channel L

Both blue wires in Salus N go to Hive Single Channel N

Earths in Hive earth tether
