Salus versus Hive

My son-in-law is pondering whether to instal a Salus IT500BM or a Hive heating control unit. Both offer internet control and both offer wire-free location of the thermostat/programmer.
The advantage of the Salus is that the RXBC605 receiver module simply plugs in as a replacement for the dumb clock on his boiler.
Can anyone offer constructive words on the reliability of one over the other or any other benefits

Out of the two - Hive.

But the best option is Honeywell Evohome.
