Sample Guarantee

Hi lads

Does anyone have a sample copy of a slated roof guarantee?

I have one for flat roofs & metal roofs but I don't have one made up for slates & tiles?

That`ll be a lifetime guarantee then - I fitted a length of cast iron gutter - I wrote on it - " I guarantee this " - That was a Cast Iron Guarantee I bought a metal Van Vault - it had an Ironclad guarantee.

lol forgot how mad everyone was on here.

Normally for a new roof installation I would give a 10 year gaurantee, but does anyone have some sort of wording to use? like terms & conditions etc?

Don't get hung up on T&C's

All your guarantee needs to say is

how long you are guaranteeing it for
whether it covers faulty workmanship and/or materials
and you might want to exclude damage caused by others

That might not be that long considering the ludicrously small timbers you spec!

All of what Woody says.

We give a 10 year workmanship guarantee and mention any guarantee given by the manufacturer but say that the guarantee is valid only for faults directly attributed to poor workmanship and not caused through any structural movement or Acts of God.

This is usually acceptable and our local trading standards office are happy with it
