Hello all,
I had a drainage error message (5E) on my Samsung washer dryer. The model is WD806U4SAGD if it's important.
I recently cleaned the filter, so this isn't the first time the error came up.

When I drained the water and checked the debris filter, I could feel a clump of limescale and fabric. I've been trying to take it out - access is restricted because of the tight angle but I've managed to pull some of it through.

Then I had a mild panic and thought - what if this is an internal part of the machine/filter that I'm damaging?

I've taken photos and wanted to get a better opinion if someone can please advise?
Is it a fabric item that's gotten stuck with limescale built up around it over time?
If so, I hope it is safe to remove?

Or is it an internal part that I've now damaged?

Thank you all

Put a match to it. Dose it burn like rubber and smell like rubber. Might help you decide what it is

Well don't worry about it.
If it was rubber it may have come from machine although I still doubt it have taken a few apart to fix.

Crud I guess.
Start using calgon but buy in bulk when on offer as will keep it clean.
Also look up the cleaning cycle in manual and run
