Hi,
I am not a builder, but I have a very damp flat. The builder who came round said that the walls were very damp (on his meter) and that the plaster was not the right sort and for an old house (flat is the basement of victorian terraced house) the bricks should have been rendered/covered in sand and cement. At least I think that is what he said.
So, if that is the case what is put ontop of the sand and cement for the paint to sit on, or does one paint direct onto the sand and cement.
I am not planning to do this myself (ho ho) but before i call another damp specialist I was hoping to educate myself a bit.
Many thanks for your time.
Ludmilla
