Hi All,

I noticed a lot of side in the guttering which the rain water pipes do go into, this is the square shape one on the floor behind the house. I also notice that there is a build up of sand/debris in the actual guttering itself. Is there a way to stop the sand/debris build in the guttering?
I am concerned that this will block the drains on ground floor and also the guttering by the roof as well.

Thanks in advance.

The "sand" could be granules detaching from rough surface concrete roof tiles - thats if you have concrete tile?
Or, particles from any other roof coverings.

Or, it might simply be a build-up of fine airborne debris, thats always blowing about, combining with leaves and twigs.

Your gutters must have correct falls to self clean, and if your RWP's drop into gullies, then the gullies must be hand cleaned out every year or so.

FWIW:Dont attempt to fix gutter guards or screens. Correct falls is the answer.
