The lock on my upvc door is broken. I don't know where to find or fit an identical lock. I am looking for the upvc equivalent of a normal sash lock (the distance between the handle and key on upvc lock is longer than a normal one for wooden doors). Do you know where I can find one of these please?

I've come to the conclusion that "multipoint" upvc locks are fiddly and unreliable and only gives us an illusion of extra security as once you manage to turn the handle, all the "hooks" are released any way. I am I correct?

Many thanks,
Luan

If you look carefully they normally have a manufacter make or model number on the lock or sliding bar, then do a search on google.
