Saw cut in top chord of metal web joist

Looking for some advice. I had a plumber come round to investigate a possible leak after seeing a stain in the ceiling of the room below. The plumber cut out a section of the floor to try to find the problem. I noticed that in cutting out the floor there were saw cuts in the top chord of the metal web joist below plus some damage due to the floor having been glued down. The plumber assured me the joist is fine but having read online that damage can impact on their integrity I am a bit worried. The joist is also next to the hot water cylinder so carries extra weight. Any advice would be appreciated.

That's minor, no issues with it.

Thanks Denso. The cuts are between 5 -10mm into the beam which is 45mm thick, which is what is making me nervous

Across it, like a notch, would have ben much worse, doesn't seem too bad from the photos.

Thanks Denso. The cuts into along the beam is about 40cm long. It is also cut, again 5 - 10mm, across the beam, 50mm of 85mm width. Does that make a difference?

Sign of a careless tradesman I fear but in the real world shouldn't be an issue.

Not really. As an aside, lifting glued down chipboard flooring is a pain in the @RSE.
