SBR Bonding Slurry

Hi, I want to bond a external brick will for rendering.
I have read the best sbr slurry for bonding is 1 part sbr, 1 part sharp sand, 1 part cement and leave it 24hrs to dry.
Is this correct? will water need to be added to this mix to make it creamy?
