Hi.. i'm sorting out my bathroom in my converted Victorian terrace flat to fit new shower etc, few damp issues which im in the process of sorting slowly.
A company quoted for the following to be done:
1) To apply anti-sulphate onto the brickwork.
2) To plaster the wall with sand and cement with SBR additive.
3) To apply 2 coats of tanking slurry with a 150mm lap on to the floor slab.
4) To dry line the wall with plasterboard. (ready for tiling which is not included in
this estimate).
I've got the whole wall pretty much down to brick, and applied the Anti-Sulphate.
Now i'm ready to fix the wall with sand/cement/sbr.
The question is can i just render the wall with this mix or do i just use sand/cement first and finish off with the sbr mix, basically filling in hols so it's straight and then scratch coat for the tanking slurry to go onto?
