Scantronic 9448+ alarm reset needed?

Can anyone tell me how to reset an alarm code on a scantronic 9448+ as the alarm went off after a power cut and the code doesnt work. I am not sure if it is the correct code therefore I think it needs a full reset??

It may have locked out due to faulty battery ..... Step one down power mains and battery .... Re power up mains only.... Enter the code you think it may be...if this does not work enter 1234 does it stop ? Yes ? It may have defaulted check all zones , it may need reprogramming....step 2 the code didn't stop it ! Power down again and repower up with the NVM link on the main panel shorted , remove link and enter 1234 does it stop ? Yes right reprogram system and replace battery ...
