I have two remote keypads each of which appear to have two zones within the remote keypad but these do not show up within the zone list. Do I have to enable these in any way and if so how is this done?
Not being an alarm engineer I guess since I don't see those zones and the removal of the loop wires from the remotes don't trigger the alarm they must not have been enabled. I also guess that the engineers code is required so as to get into this side of the config which now is no longer under cover will need to be reset for me to configure them
Tell me if I'm right I will need to short the reset pin in order to default the engineers code to "1234" however I'm concerned that I will lose other settings that may cause me bigger issues. With this in-mind can you confirm if reset also looses all other settings or is it just the engineers code?
Also, I have an eight node xnode expander I'd like to fit so that I have extra zones for floor one of the house. I was thinking that since there was a PIR on the landing on floor one the best idea would be to remove this PIR from the panel, short tamper and NC circuits for it, then use the already 6 core cable for the network connection to the xnode, then run the landing PIR and the other PIR's from the xnode, does this make sense?
its a TS900, when I add the xnode the remote keypad seems to sense its there but the zones don't work. There are the network connections there for the xnode so I assumes it supported it also given the alarm can see its there via the remote it would imply its picking it up I thought.
