Scottish water are digging up my path should they replace it

Scottish water are coming to my gate way to replace/repair a pipe/watermain when they do this they will be digging part of my pathway up should they replace the surface tarr. The gas and electricity utilities must do it, does anyone know if the rules apply to scottish water?

If it's on Your property ( check land register) then yes they have to make good
