Screeding on top of bitumen

I am not a fitter, just a retailer, so......

Daz and some of the other fitters will be more "expert" than me

I just sell the stuff!!!!!!!

OK we now know....

It is bitumen NOT asphalt

YES there will be a system to fix your problem!

Over to Daz (no pressure mate :D )

I also have what appears to be an asphalt/bitumen floor, about 20mm thick, in a largish living room/diner. However, it appears that the original fire hearth must have been put in place before the floor was laid because the hearth has been removed at sometime and the resultant hole has been filled with a cement mix laid on a DPM. In addition, a structural wall has been moved in the past and the resultant trough has again been filled with cement mix. I have a guy coming over tomorrow to give me a quote for levelling the floor which is about 35m2 in area. I need the floor level to take a floating engineered oak floor. Are there likely to be any problems that he may point out? Forewarned is forearmed.
