Hi all,
I'm replacing the hinges on a top hung window, and found these screws! How do I get them out? Either they're not Allen key screws or they're worn, either way that doesn't work. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Jackie
The biggest readily available replacement is a 4.8mm diameter pop rivet (a 5mm hole is fine) and the length of them depends on the thickness of the window frame. Usually a 12mm long rivet is fine.
Drill the heads off with a sharp HSS jobber drill bit, and the remainder of the rivet will fall into the void in the frame.
