Screw Finder in drill bit set

I like most other blokes have a drill bit set. Within the set are 5 items labeled as Srew Finders. To describe them I'd have to say there a tube shape, and about an inch long and in the centre there is what looks like a spring

Can someone tell me how on earth you would use this?

you insert the screw into the holder sit over the work and screw in

more trouble than they are worth i m h o
providing you use the correct driver bit in the first place its easier than using these gadgets
