Last piece to infil where the patio doors are and it's a piece that needs to be fitted tongue first. It's on 50mm wide but it keeps popping out.

it will have a quadrant fitted over the gap between door and floor when finished.

mess gonna hide the screw or nail under the quadrant

any issues?

Glue would be less obvious, don’t understand how you are using quadrant at a door , normally a threshold ?

I took the post to mean the last piece was butting up against an existing patio door (uPVC?) - there probably wouldn't be a threshold.

Screws may interfere with the expansion of the floor?
Could you get a solid fix of the quadrant into the door frame, to hold the piece down?
