Hi,
My son had a seagate HDD 2TB 1TEAP6-500 connected to his xbox one for 8 months as an expansion unit.
Hes not using it now as hes upgraded his xbox. He decided to use the HDD as a storage unit for his laptop but the PC will not recognize it as a HDD in my computer.
When you connect it you can hear the connection noise and in usb connected devices (windows 10 bottom left) you can see it connected in devices and printers. Then to the devices and printers and you can see the drive connected as "expansion" unit. You cannot access it either.
I was wondering if he will have to reconnect to his xbox and format it etc , as i cannot do this from the PC.
Any ideas thanks.

Thanks for that I had totally forgot how to do this. I went onto my PC plugged in the drive. Then went to manage devices and got a message flash up immediately. FRom here I assigned the drive "F" . This has worked for me.

Thanks for that.
