Evening all,

Can anyone offer me their opinion on the feasabilty of the following...
A friend of mine has a Seagull d 1279 x 450 indirect combination tank installed on the first floor and was asking me about fitting a plumbed shower in the first floor bathroom. The hot pressure is practically non existant obviously and i imagine would be negative head at shower head height.

1)Would this tank be suitable for pumping bearing in mind its size and construction? Could anyone comment on its regeneration/refill rate with regard to its small cold tank?

2)Would it be more appropriate to just pump the hot and take cold direct from mains and attempt to balance to pressure/flow similar to pumped hot?

Thanks all!!

Personally, I'd recommend an electric shower because a combination cylinder would struggle to supply a pumped unit, and cold main tank fed hot is never a good idea.

Thanks twgas!

Just for my own knowledge can you tell me why a pumped tank fed hot / cold main combination is not a good idea?
