I have a heated towel rail with an imperial size radiator as a middle panel that has got a pinprick hole in it. I do not want to replace the towel rail which is brass and cannot source a replacement radiator so is there anything I can use to seal the hole?

Thanks

No, it's rusting through. If you seal that one you will soon get another.

No professional would try, but if you are really so mean then you could try yourself!

Turn off the rad valves and leave for a few days until no more water is coming out of the hole.

Sand the area 30 mm around the hole to bare metal. Get a shiny 2p piece and standard epoxy. Mix and apply to both parts. Press the coin hard against the rad and wedge it with something very heavy so it presses with at least 2000 grams force. Leave for 24 hours and then repressurise.

Another hole will probably appear in a few weeks, months or years.
