Had a garage conversion done last year, with a new boiler + radiators (as old system was going on 20-25 years old). The garage conversion was done as a kind of structural work only, the decorating was left to ourselves (which, as of yet, none of us have got round to!)

The flue has been left with a gap around it - I assume it is sealed at the roofing tile, but would it be alright to seal round this gap with some silicone to make it blend in a bit more?
