I'm in the process of installing a new shower in my bathroom, and have concealed copper pipes coming out of the wall, to which the bar mixer will be attached. The shower installation instructions suggest using mastic to fill the gap around the pipes, but I'm not really sure where to find a mastic-based sealant, and was wondering if silicone sealant would be suitable for the job?

Here's a photo of the pipes and the gap that needs filling

Use CT1 around the pipes and Dow Corning 785 for finishing seals around other sanitaryware.
