sealant for edges of floor in ensuite

Hi all,

Well I layed the Karndean floor in the ensuite ( happy with the results too)
I need to put in some "edge sealant"

two questions:

which is the best brand to be used?
Which is the best method of application?

I usually use the cartridge gun the smooth it with a cloth or my fingers but I am sure there is a better method

any silicon will be fine. I like to put masking tape around the edge. Use this to define the correct bead size. Next fly around with the silcon and smooth exess off with the finger ( the tape will stop it going everywhere) when finished pull tape of slowley.

P.s the smaller the bead the better.
