Sealant for stone fireplace hearth

Can anyone recommend a sealant for my newly installed hearth stone please?

Im having a log burning stove installed soon and I was wondering if there are any sealants that might help with cleaning ash from the stone?

I used patio stone sealer, trouble is they only sell it in 5l containers.
