Sealant or grout?

Right at the risk of sounding stupid and having the proverbial extracted... Can you use grout instead of silicone sealant around upvc windows because the sealant always perishes after a time and comes loose? What do you reckon?

Same thing would happen to grout, just possible quicker. Being that windows are open and closed (causing vibration etc) and subjected to lots of different temperatures silicone would always be better than grout.
 
Wrong forum for pee taking...try the plumbers forum if you want a laff ;) . The " proper" silicone for window/ uPVC sealing is a Neutral Curing one :idea: Most fitters seem to use a normal ( acetic acid) one that will come off - which is actually good because they smear it everywhere :rolleyes: So you can pull off their mess.
