Sealing between granite worktop and upstand

Hi all,

I have a granite worktop which is a few years old and the silicone between the worktop and the upstand has disappeared behind the sink area - looks like the fitter put a very small bead in the first place and its just disintegrated over time.

Any thoughts /advice on what i should use to redo the seal? Would a clear sealant like dow 785+ do the job or do i need something specifically for granite?
