I have just fitted some oak laminated bi-fold doors and was going to use osmo uv-protection oil to finish them off, but I have just noticed in the literature that came with the doors they recommend using only water based products, which considering they are exterior doors is confusing me a little. Could somebody help explain please.

I contacted the company before posting but only got the sales team and they were about as usefull as a chocolate fire guard. I have been in touch again and the oil is fine, they dont recommend using solvent based products as it may react with the glues.
