Sealing plaster

In the process of installing a shower room for a customer.
She's now thinking that she like the plaster affect.

Can this be sealed so that it works in a wet area?
 
Donno. If you get enough number of coats on it might work. But it could be a disaster if the paint is is damaged by a knock during use.

Tell her to get real, and have some emulsion the same colour as the plaster.

She asked the question the least I can do is research..

I'd do a job a couple of years back that did have plastered walls. But I think it was a purpose for just that and expensive. Can't think of the name
 
I believe that "polished" plaster walls are suitable. Not cheap though.

I think they may be the same thing, yup, really expensive. additionally, given that they can't use the rotary polishers in to corners, you might need to have the work done before fitting anything.

Well the tiles are in but the rest can wait
