Second security light

I have replaced an outside light with a 150w security light with pir, this lights the walkway but not the fire escape so i need to add a second light to light the stairway, can i add the second light by running a cable from the first light to the second security light. For safety i would like the lights to work independently so it will flood the stairway when someone walks up. [/list][/code]

T- in to the LNE side of the 1st security light and it will work independently.

If the 1st light has a switch, then the 2nd will also be controlled by that switch.

Thanks for your reply, not really sure what you mean regarding the switch. Would i need a junction box?

he is saying IF there is a switch, this switch that you may or may not havewill switch both lights, but i guess you have not got a switch so dont worry about it.
