I am about to have secondary glazing installed, but after various quotes I have been presented with various sub-frame options.
All frames are aluminium, however, with some companies the sub-frames are hardwood, some are softwood and some are MDF.
I was wondering whether there are significant differences (advantages/disadvantages) between these sub-frame materials??
The main reason I am installing secondary glazing is for noise insulation.
Also, if anyone can recommend suppliers and installers in the London (east) area it will be appreciated.
