Secondary Hot Water Returns

We are talking about a circulator here, if you put the pump facing away from the cylinder it is returned via the surret flange, so not sure what the cold feed has to do with it

I looked at the link soooo if I post a picture showing the pump facing away from the cylinder will your head explode ?

I like your opinion Picasso if theory I think this is better if you can move the open vent 450 / 500mm away from the cylinder outlet and have the open vent right up and over so when drawing taps / pump kicks in it won't pull down to the T?

Its a tried and trusted method that works why would you want to do it any other way

There are gravity circulation systems that work also, out there that work perfectly well,

God forbid you try something different , it might be the tried and trusted method for secondary circulation but things change and sometimes for the better.

Domestic Plumbers and boiler bashers ain't got a clue.

Tbh buck, Picasso has a good idea here this would 100% not pump over, but depending on tank height / open vent your way could pump over?

Open minds is the best policy, don't forget a lot of commercial systems are a lot less complex than some domestic systems, commercial is just big.

I know commercial engineers who could not fix cdi sine 18 etc so pls don't come all mighty here thinking your better than a domestic engineer.
