Hi all,
We have an epdm covered flat roof as can be seen above.
I need to fix a couple of batons to it to allow me to mount something on the roof.
Am I ok to just get some treated 4x2, pilot drill it, run a bead of stix all around the holes along with some on the wood for bonding then screw through it into the osb below the rubber then put some more stix all over the screw heads?
Once the batons are in place am I better off getting some epdm repair material and fixing it up over the batons so it's enclosed in rubber to stop the wood soaking up water and it sitting soaked against the existing epdm regularly or am I overthinking it and just sealed and screwed will be fine?
Thanks,
Chris.
