Securing decking joists

Hi,

I am constructing a deck and for the frame will be using 6x2 joists secured to 4x4 posts (low level). I want to use coach screws to secure the joists to the posts with the heads of the screws sunken in to the joist.

Basically, will a 6mm x 90mm coach screw be suitable (I am thinking of using three screws at every joist/post intersect) or will I need to go bigger

Also, what is better for outdoor use - galvanised or zinc plated
