hi all, I'm in the process of laying a garden path, I have a sub base of hardcore, compacted with a Wacker, Is there was any rules I have to follow regarding laying self binding gravel, I have read, it has to be laid while being dampened on the compacter, my Wacker does not hold water, so wondered if this is essential, any laying tips would be appreciated, many thanks

Just like with hardcore, if it's dry it won't stick together. If it's soaking it might turn to soup. So you want a damp day, or carefully use a watering can or hose
