Hi all. Can this kitchen floor be tiled over safely or is a self level required? Cannot really scrape more off. Had conflicting views from a few tradespeople who have viewed. Appreciate any views on this thank you.
The ony time I've ever felt the need for SL was for a floor like this.
I think it was the 3rd or 4th time of changing kitchen floor tiles and I was having to work round an island and purpose made dresser units, SWMBO havin decided after the installation of these that she did want to change the floor tiles. It was therefore difficult to just use a long straight edge and exxtra adhesive which would be my normal approach.
Thanks. Appears it will need to be levelled then. This was my initial thought. I am very tempted to try this myself but just concerned about getting the right height and do not have a mixing paddle machine. The room itself is about 4m x 2.5 m
Will look into this thank you. Looks like a popular product. Im sure there is a method to ensure the 5mm as i woild like to keep the height minimal due to impact with adjacent rooms.
